Good to know

⏲️ The cities hosting the competition span several different time zones. This is important to keep in mind regarding match schedules and your planning (especially if you cross time zones during your trip).

To avoid exchange fees, consider a fee-free debit card solution. You can contact your bank or create a card like Revolut, which is simple, fast and charge-free for weekday transactions.

Ticketing Information

How to buy tickets?

There is only one official ticket office for the 2026 World Cup: FIFA's online ticketing platform.

FIFA has announced several sales phases:

1️⃣ Visa pre-sale.

The 1st phase from 10 to 19 September 2025: a pre-sale exclusively reserved for Visa card holders. You must register between 10 and 19 September 2025. A draw is then held and you may obtain an access slot and link during October.

2️⃣ Early draw.

The 2nd phase from 27 to 31 October 2025. You must register on FIFA's online ticketing platform between 27 and 31 October 2025 and hope to be drawn to obtain an access slot for purchase. At this stage, no fixtures are known.

3️⃣ Random selection draw.

The 3rd phase following the draw on Thursday 11 December 2025 at 17:00 until Tuesday 13 January 2026 at 17:00. During this phase it will be possible to request tickets for selected matches knowing the fixtures. There will then be a draw in February among all ticket purchase requests. The draw results will be announced from 5 February 2026 onwards. If drawn (in full or partial with respect to your ticket requests) your card will be automatically charged and tickets purchased, without further confirmation.

4️⃣ Last-minute sale.

A final sales phase takes place as the competition approaches based on a first-come, first-served basis. Sales opened on Wednesday 1 April at 17:00 (CET).

This sale will remain open until the event. Tickets may become available as hospitality tickets not sold are converted to general admission or according to final stadium configuration.

ℹ️ A few key pieces of information regarding ticket sales:

  • You are allowed to purchase up to 4 tickets per match, for a maximum of 40 tickets over the entire competition.
  • It is not possible to buy tickets for 2 matches on the same day.
  • It is possible to request to be seated with friends/family from your account. These requests are not guaranteed.
  • All payments will be made in USD $ (except for Canadians and Mexicans purchasing tickets).
  • Tickets will only be accessible via FIFA's official app with mobile tickets. More information will be available closer to the event.

Official ticket resale

🔃 FIFA has already opened the official ticket resale platform for the competition. This is the only official resale platform.

It is possible to buy tickets at any time on this resale platform.

Prices vary depending on the host country and the match fixture. When seats are added to the basket, the system automatically selects the cheapest ticket prices in the selected category.

There is an additional 15% FIFA commission for the buyer on the purchase price, added when seats are added to the basket. The seller also has a 15% FIFA commission on the resold ticket.

The "stadium" packages.

This is a package including several group matches and round of 16 matches in the same stadium (excluding the opening match).

More information about these packages will be communicated later.
