The Gillette Stadium is home to the Patriots (NFL / American Football)🏈​ and the New England Revolution of the MLS (Football/Soccer) ⚽

🏗️ It underwent major renovations in 2023 incorporating an immersive experience called "Lookout" and the installation of the largest curved outdoor video screen in the United States (2180 m²).
These works also made it possible to develop vast outdoor spaces for supporters, as well as an atrium and 92 luxury lounges for hospitality.

👀 The Lookout is a 22-storey lighthouse (66m high). It is the tallest lighthouse in the United States. A visit to the lighthouse offers a 360° view of the stadium and its surroundings. You reach the lantern in 34 seconds thanks to a lift (or by a 372-step staircase). Tickets are purchased on-site, there is no advance booking. The lighthouse may be closed during certain stadium events.

The stadium was called CMGI Field from May to August 2002. It is nicknamed The Razor.

It was built on the site of the former Foxboro Stadium which had become obsolete.

Gillette Stadium will host 7 matches of the 2026 FIFA World Cup. To comply with FIFA rules, the stadium will be temporarily renamed « Boston Stadium » for the duration of the World Cup.

How to reach Gillette Stadium by public transport?

🚆 Thanks to MBTA train lines you can reach the "Foxboro" station located 400m from the stadium.

Two options: 

The regular "Franklin/Foxboro" commuter train line to Foxboro station. 
Tickets are available on the mTicket app and at station ticket machines. Be sure to check the timetables as they are not synchronised with event times and you may have unpleasant surprises for the return journey.

An event train from "South Station" in Boston to "Foxboro" station. 

This train stops at South Station, Back Bay, Dedham Corporate Center. 
For certain events, there are also trains departing from "Providence Station" in Rhode Island. They stop at Providence, Pawtucket/Central Falls, Attleboro, Mansfield.
The timetables for these event trains are designed to correspond with event times. They arrive 1 hour before and depart 30 minutes after.
You must purchase your return ticket in advance as they sell out quickly. They are only available on the mTicket app. They are neither refundable nor exchangeable.

MBTA trains are subject to the same restrictions as the stadium: no bags except small transparent ones, no alcohol...

Gillette Stadium is located 35km from Boston city centre.

🅿️ For Patriots matches, General Parking is available free of charge to all spectators.

⚠️ Patriot Place is a shopping centre built around the stadium. Reserved car parks are provided for Patriot Place customers who are not attending a match or concert.
Anyone attending a match or concert must park in the general car parks, even if they make purchases at the shopping centre.

🎁 The stadium also offers visitors the option of reserving a parking space in a "delayed exit" car park (car parks 45 and 55B): they receive a Visa gift card in return for a delayed exit of 75 minutes.

🚆 The MBTA Commuter Rail operates a special event train service departing from Boston and Providence for the 2025 Patriots season.

For each event, Gillette Stadium publishes a "Guide" which should be consulted to find out the specific information in place (parking, access, etc.)

💳 Gillette Stadium is Cashless.
At the stadium, you will find 5 Cash-to-Card machines to convert cash into prepaid Visa® cards.

🌭 Can you eat at Gillette Stadium?
The stadium offers a wide variety of dining and refreshment options. 
All food concessions are cashless and accept contactless payments only.

🛍️ The ProShop (official store) of the Patriots and Revolution teams, is located on the Plaza next to the Ticketmaster entrance and the stadium lighthouse.

🚕 Ride-sharing / VTC
The designated drop-off and pick-up point for Uber and Lyft is located in car park 15, closest to the CVS Health Gate.

🎟️ Can you visit Gillette Stadium?
Unfortunately, Gillette Stadium does not offer tours.
However, you can visit the "Patriots Hall of Fame", which is located next to the ProShop, opposite the Gillette Stadium box office. It is a must-visit museum for Patriots fans and American football enthusiasts.

👀 What to do / What to see in Boston?

Boston is renowned for its colonial buildings, cobbled streets and an almost "European" atmosphere, some streets are reserved for pedestrians and cyclists. The entire motorway network is underground.

⭐ The Freedom Trail is a walking route that connects 16 emblematic sites of the American Revolution. (to discover by tram or on foot)
It covers approximately 4.5 km, from Boston Common (the oldest public park in the USA) to the Bunker Hill Monument in Charlestown. 
It is marked by a red line drawn on the pavement and will lead you to unmissable places such as the Massachusetts State House with its golden dome, the Old South Meeting House or the Paul Revere House. 

🏛️ Don't miss the Victorian houses in the Beacon Hill district by strolling through its cobbled streets. The photo of Acorn Street is very present on social networks. Its narrow streets are still lit by gas lamps. Charles Street and its antique shops are a often recommended destination.

Other sites worth seeing include Faneuil Hall near Quincy Market, and all its shops, 

⚾ Fenway Park is the oldest baseball stadium in the United States. It is the emblematic home of the Red Sox team. It is possible to tour it but attending a match and trying the famous "Fenway-Frank" hot-dog would be part of the experience.

🎓Harvard University is the oldest in the USA. It is located in Cambridge, a few kilometres from Boston. You can visit the grounds and enjoy cafés and souvenir shops.

🐋 Boston is close to a whale watching point. Boat companies allow you to go and observe them.

Finally, the city's culinary speciality is lobster 🦞.
