The Stade Pierre Mauroy is a multi-sport arena. It hosted several matches from the Euro 2016 football tournament, matches from the Rugby World Cup France 2023, the Davis Cup final in 2014 and 2017, the European Basketball Championship in 2015 and the Handball World Championships in 2017. Major concerts are also held there.

It hosted the Paris 2024 Olympics.

Stade Pierre Mauroy has a capacity of 50,187 seats, the 4th largest stadium in France.

 

Technical Features: 30 minutes are enough to close the roof (it's unique in France) and the stadium transforms into an arena in 24 hours. The animated facade features 70,000 LEDs.

To transform into a stage suited for Basketball or Handball, the pitch rises and is stored under the stands, revealing a pit containing tiers of seating and at the bottom a field sized for these sports.
