Johan Cruyff Arena is the home of Ajax.

Former name: Amsterdam Arena

On 5 April 2018, the stadium was renamed in honour of Dutch footballer Johan Cruyff, an emblematic figure of the club, who passed away in spring 2016.

Amsterdam Arena was the first stadium with a retractable roof. It takes 20 minutes to open or close it. 

How to buy tickets for an Ajax Amsterdam match at Johan Cruyff Arena?

🎟️ To obtain tickets, 3 official methods are available on Ajax Amsterdam's ticketing platform (link from the button below):

• Buy tickets during the sale that takes place at the beginning of each half of the season (generally around July/August for the first half of the season, in January for the second half of the season). This sale is reserved primarily for members and then accessible to the general public if places remain. The Klassiker against Feyenoord is always sold out with members.
• Buy tickets through the official resale. To do this, you must verify your identity online using your ID card (front and back photos + a photo of your face). Once your account is validated by identity verification, you will have access to resale. Note that there is no resale for cup matches.
• Buy tickets in a package with a hotel offered by the club (min. €400) or in hospitality (VIP packages) on Visit.ajax.

💡 Many tickets become available in the 2 weeks before the match thanks to resale.

Is there ticket resale for Ajax Amsterdam matches?

🔃 Yes, on Ajax's online ticketing platform (link from the button below), resale is open and many opportunities may arise (particularly in the 2 weeks before the match).

This resale is accessible to everyone, but you must have verified your identity online (with a photo of yourself and your ID card front and back). This process will be required when you log in, to access sales and resale.

Note that there is no resale for Cup matches (national and international).

How to validate your account to access sales?

It is essential to verify your account identity to purchase tickets during sales or resales. To do this you must:

1. Create an account on Ajax's ticketing platform or the "Ajax Official App" application.
2. If not already done, download the "Ajax Official App" application on your smartphone.
3. On the app menu by clicking the profile icon (stick figure) at the top right, go to "identificeer jezelf".
4. From this tab you will be able to validate your account with your ID card or passport: take a photo front then back of the ID card/passport and take a photo of yourself.
5. Your account will be validated and you will be able to access ticket sales and resales.

How to buy tickets for several people?

⚠️ Please note that each ticket must be assigned to a verified Ajax account.

If you wish to buy several tickets, you will be asked to assign them to "friends/family" on your account. To do this:

1. Go to your profile on the ticketing platform by clicking your name at the top.
2. In the menu that appears click on "Friends & Family".
3. You must then add the people for whom you wish to buy tickets.
4. To add a person you must provide the person's email address. This email must correspond to the person's Ajax account.
5. For this person to be assigned a ticket when you purchase tickets, their account must also be verified with their identity.

💡 Our very first piece of advice is to create your account on Ajax's ticketing platform and validate your account with your identity through the application. Once your account is validated, the main strategy is to be very active on resale in the 2 weeks before the match.
