Allianz Arena hosted several matches at Euro 2024  (notably the opening match).

🏆 The stadium also hosted the opening match of the 2006 FIFA World Cup, the 2012 Champions League final and several matches at Euro 2020.

🏟️ The facade of Allianz Arena is made up of 2,874 air cushions kept inflated by a constant flow of pressurised air. These transparent panels equipped with LEDs can be illuminated independently of each other in any colour. You can see Allianz Arena from very far away!

This transparent facade has the main advantage of allowing sunlight through, essential for maintaining grass quality.

 

 

How to buy tickets for FC Bayern Munich matches at Allianz Arena?

Ticket sales for FC Bayern Munich matches are only available through the club's online ticketing system (link below).

🔒 Bayern Munich's ticketing system is generally reserved for members, except for rare matches if the opponent is not attractive and if the stakes are low (end of season).

As a member, it is possible to enter draws to gain access to ticket purchases. This happens several months before each match. 

💸 Ticket prices are approximately between €15 and €100 (in the league).

Is there ticket resale for FC Bayern Munich matches?

🔄 Yes, ticket resale is available through Bayern Munich. This resale is only accessible to members. Season ticket holders and ticket holders can resell their tickets at purchase price.

 

How and why become a Bayern Munich member?

🪪 Bayern Munich has nearly 300,000 members. Membership brings many exclusive benefits including merchandise and priority access to ticket sales (draws + resale).

💸 Membership costs approximately €65 for one year. The process takes several weeks to be validated.

Stadium Traveller's tips for getting tickets?

1️⃣ If you want to see a Bayern Munich match at Allianz Arena, we recommend either becoming a member by starting the process very in advance (as soon as possible, at least several weeks/months before the desired match, ideally in May/June before the season starts).

2️⃣ Otherwise you need to find a member (through social media, blogs ...) to get you a ticket.

 

What are the big Bayern Munich matches (clashes, derbies)?

⚔️ The most famous clash is the Klassiker between Bayern Munich and Dortmund, but the historic Klassiker is between Bayern Munich and Borussia Mönchengladbach.

Because of the club's history, other major clashes are considered rivalries: Stuttgart (Südderby), Hamburg, Werder Bremen (Süd-Nord-Gipfel), Schalke 04 ...

In the Bavaria region, Bayern Munich has various derbies: Nuremberg (Bayernderby), Unterhaching (suburb south of Munich) and of course the derby against Munich's other club, TSV 1860 Munich.

How to get to Allianz Arena by public transport?

🚇 There is a direct metro line from the city centre to the stadium: U6 direction Garching Forschungszentrum, exit Fröttmaning U-Bahn station

Every 2 minutes from "Odeonsplatz" or "Marienplatz" 

There is then a 20-minute walk (a long avenue to the stadium). Allow 40 minutes in total from the city centre.

⚠️ Make sure to check your stadium entrance so you can plan the necessary walking time around the stadium.

What are the car parks near Allianz Arena in Munich?

🅿️ There are 9,800 parking spaces in the "Esplanade" car parks (over 4 levels / Europe's largest), 150 disabled parking spaces, 1,200 parking spaces on 2 levels inside the stadium. Exit via number plate recognition.

🖥️ It is possible to book your parking in advance via the Allianz Arena website by clicking here. The price is €24 and advance booking is mandatory.

⚠️ Several things to keep in mind:

• Book in advance, there are only a limited number of spaces available.
• There will be no other car parks at the stadium, and these car parks for sale will not be accessible without a reservation.
• Parking around the stadium will be difficult and road traffic will be heavy in the region.
• You need to create a MyFCB account (Bayern Munich).

 

🅿️ Many park and ride facilities are available in Munich, to complete your journey by public transport.

💸 Most of these park and ride car parks cost €1.50/day (2024).

Note: the P+R "Business Campus Garching-Hochbrück" is close to the stadium. Once parked there, head to the "Garching-Hochbrück U-Bahn station" and exit at "Fröttmaning" (5 minutes). In 15/20 minutes on foot you will be at the stadium.

What are the other ways to get to Allianz Arena?

Other means of transport are available in Munich to travel differently:

🚕 by TAXI

Taxi services available in Munich: Uber, Bolt and Freenow.

There are 2 drop-off zones near the stadium, one to the North and one to the South.

🛴 by ELECTRIC SCOOTER

Various free-floating electric scooter (or electric bike) rental companies are available in Munich: Bird, Bolt, Tier, Voi.

⚠️ Pay close attention to the parking area on arrival (large areas are prohibited for scooter parking).

 

How to travel to Munich?

✈️ There is a major airport 40 minutes from Munich city centre: Munich International Airport. From France, there are direct flights to Munich from: Paris, Lyon, Nantes, Bordeaux, Toulouse, Marseille and Nice. The S1 and S8 lines go directly to the city centre.

 

🚆 Many trains from France can reach Munich:

• From Paris: Frankfurt, Stuttgart, Freiburg and Munich. On the route of these trains, stops at Karlsruhe or Mannheim also allow you to reach all of Germany very easily by train. 
• From Marseille: there is a direct train to Frankfurt. This train passes through Aix-en-Provence, Avignon, Lyon, Chalon-sur-Saône, Besançon, Belfort, Mulhouse, Strasbourg, Baden-Baden, Karlsruhe and Mannheim.
• From Strasbourg: you can access all the lines mentioned above. Otherwise, there is a Strasbourg - Offenburg line (25 minutes). From Offenburg, many trains allow you to reach all of Germany (for example there are direct trains to Berlin).

🌙 Several trains (local, regional or national) run in the evening / at night.

What are the stands at Allianz Arena?

🎉 Munich supporters' Kop is located in the South stand, blocks 110 to 117.

🚌 Away supporters' section is located in the North stand on the 3rd floor, usually blocks 340 to 347 (variable depending on the number of away supporters).

The executive stand with the players' bench is located in the West stand.

👀 What to see / What to do in Munich?

🍻 Munich is not known only for the Oktoberfest (the unmissable Beer Festival that takes place every October).

 

📍 You will enjoy the atmosphere of its historic centre around Marienplatz, its Biergartens (open-air breweries), the English Garden, the German Museum and ... the BMW Museum. The centre is crisscrossed with "Passagen" lined with shops and at the turn of which you will be able to discover small courtyards lined with terraces where you can enjoy a traditional Kaiserschmarrn, a Schnitzel or any other tasty specialty.

You will also be able to enjoy the Nymphenburg Palace, the Residenz or one of the most famous historic breweries "Hofbräuhaus"
