Tickets at $60 for all 2026 World Cup matches!
FIFA has announced a change to 2026 World Cup ticket pricing: a quota of $60 tickets will be offered to each federation for matches, including the final.
FIFA announced last week the ticket prices for the 2026 World Cup and this created a major backlash from supporters due to the extremely high prices.
FIFA responded on Tuesday 16 December with a ticketing update: $60 tickets will be offered for all 104 matches of the 2026 World Cup.
Each federation will manage this quota of seats for its matches.
These $60 tickets correspond to 10% of a federation's ticket quota for its matches.
As a reminder, each federation has 6% of the stadium's capacity. We can therefore estimate that on a 70,000-seat stadium, the federation has a quota of 4,200 seats of which 420 are at $60.
Each federation will decide on its procedure for selling these tickets. For the major federations there will surely be priority given to active supporter associations.
The 3rd phase of ticket sales opened on Thursday 11 December. This is a registration phase for a lottery draw, where you can request tickets for each match, knowing the fixtures. Find our article explaining how this sales phase works here.
