500 million tickets requested for the 2026 World Cup!
FIFA announced that 500 million tickets were requested during the registration phase for the ballot draw for 2026 World Cup ticket sales, a record.
The 2026 World Cup is already breaking records 5 months before its start. The competition will begin on June 11, 2026 and will take place in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
Following the group draw, a lottery ticket sales phase opened, with registration between December 11, 2025 and January 13, 2026.
During this sales phase, 500 million tickets were requested, a record.
7 million tickets for sale.
There are 7 million tickets for sale for the 2026 World Cup, of which 2 million have already been sold during the first 2 sales phases between September and November 2025 without knowledge of the matchups.
The requests for these 500 million tickets come from the 211 countries/territories that are FIFA members.
Draw results from February 5, 2026.
The result of the draw will be announced from February 5, 2026. The request can be fully validated, partially validated (only certain matches) or not validated. In case of a validated order (or partially validated), the debit is made immediately.

Beyond the United States, Canada and Mexico which are the host countries, Germany, England, Brazil, Spain, Portugal, Argentina and Colombia are the main countries in terms of ticket demand for the 2026 World Cup.
FIFA also announced the 5 most requested matches of the competition:
- Colombia - Portugal on Saturday, June 27, 2026 in Miami.
- Mexico - South Korea on Thursday, June 18, 2026 in Guadalajara.
- The final on Sunday, July 19, 2026 in New York.
- The opening match Mexico - South Africa on Thursday, June 11, 2026 in Mexico City.
- The Round of 16 in Toronto on Thursday, July 2, 2026.
