Estadio Akron (Omnilife)

Estadio Akron is home to CD Guadalajara, a team nicknamed "the Chivas".

Estadio Akron was previously called Templo Mayor (2009), Estadio Chivas (2010) and Estadio Omnilife through naming rights.

It is a stadium with avant-garde architecture in the shape of a volcano, semi-buried and perfectly integrated into the environment, the most modern in Mexico. The grassed slope that surrounds the stadium regulates the interior temperature.

It hosted the opening and closing ceremonies of the 2011 Pan American Games.

Estadio Akron will host matches of the FIFA World Cup 2026. To comply with FIFA rules, the stadium will be temporarily renamed "Estadio Guadalajara" for the duration of the World Cup.
