Key facts

The BC Place Stadium is home to the Vancouver Whitecaps football team (MLS) and the British Columbia Lions of the Canadian Football League (CFL).

It is a multi-purpose stadium that hosts many sporting, cultural, commercial events, major concerts… It hosted the 2010 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games and the FIFA 2015 Women's World Cup.

BC Place Stadium will host matches in the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

It was Canada's first domed stadium, with an inflated fibreglass membrane, one of the largest of its kind in the world. Following its collapse, it was replaced by a retractable roof completed in 2011. The stadium is equipped with the 2nd largest HD screen (alongside the AT&T Stadium) suspended above the pitch.

How to get to BC Place Stadium by public transport?

🚆 By Train

  • Skytrain stations "Stadium/Chinatown" and "Expo" to the East:

At the Skytrain exit, go up the stairs to Beatty Street and turn left. Gates A, B and H are about five minutes' walk up Beatty Street. 
You can also go down the stairs to Expo Boulevard, the stadium is five minutes' walk on your right.

  • "Yaletown/Roundhouse" station on the Canada Line to the West:

At the station exit, follow Mainland Street in a north-east direction, passing along Helmcken Street, Nelson Street and Smithe Street. Turn right onto Robson Street.

The stadium is accessible by car, bus and Skytrain. Located in the city, there are many public car parks nearby.

🎟️ Can you visit BC Place Stadium?
You can visit the "BC Sports Hall of Fame" Museum located at Gate A on Betty Street, between Robson Street and West Georgia Street. Tickets are available online via this link.
The BC Sports Hall of Fame occasionally organised "All Access Tours" until 2024. These tours gave access behind the scenes of the stadium: changing rooms, premium lounges, media lounge, and sometimes the pitch. They no longer appear on the website in 2025.
