Work resumes on Valencia's Nou Mestalla

Valencia CF has announced the resumption of work on the Nou Mestalla, which had been halted for 15 years

In 2007, Valencia CF launched the construction of a new stadium, the Nou Mestalla with a capacity of 70,044 seats.

The works lasted 2 years before being stopped for financial reasons. Since then, Valencia CF continues to play at Mestalla which dates back a century.

It has now been 15 years that the works have been on pause in the heart of Valencia.

This Friday, January 10th, 2025, Valencia CF announced the immediate resumption of works with FCC Construcción, which notably built the Stadio Metropolitano of Atlético Madrid, the RCDE Stadium of Espanyol Barcelona and also the renovation of the Santiago Bernabéu.

The planned duration of works is 2 and a half years for a move in 2027. This Nou Mestalla aims to be innovative and dynamic by offering daily activities at the stadium, with entertainment, leisure activities, restaurants, megastore, museum...

The promise of this Nou Mestalla is also that 100% of the seats will be covered to be protected from the sun and rain.
