Strawberry Arena (Friends Arena)

The Strawberry Arena is the largest stadium in the Nordic countries and one of the most modern arenas in Europe. It hosted the 2017 Europa League final and the 2013 Women's Euro, as well as prestigious concerts. 

This stadium was built to replace Rasunda Stadium, which was demolished to make way for a residential complex. 

Sweden's football team and AIK Solna are based here.

Naming: Formerly Swedbank Arena (2099-2012), Friends Arena (2012-2024) and Nationalarenan. The Swedbank Arena donated its rights to the Friends association, which fights against bullying.

It is rated as a 4-star UEFA stadium.

The stadium is located near Solna station.

🅿️ It has a car park with 4000 spaces, but it is strongly recommended to use public transport to get to the Strawberry Arena. Park at a distance and finish your journey by public transport or on foot.

The Westfield Mall of Scandinavia shopping centre offers 3700 parking spaces, but it is also very busy and often full.

How to get to Strawberry Arena by public transport?

The Strawberry Arena is accessible by metro, commuter train or bus.

🚇 By Metro: blue line 11 station "Solna centrum" (then 20 minutes walk) or "Näckrosen" (then 15 minutes walk)

🚅 By commuter train, get off at Solna station. The journey from "Stockholm City" or "Stockholm Odenplan" takes less than 10 minutes. The stadium is a 10-minute walk from the north exit of the station.

🚃 The tram serves central Solna and its station.

🚍 The bus stop "Arenan" is the closest to the stadium.

The Strawberry Arena is Sweden's national stadium.

It features a retractable roof allowing matches and other events regardless of weather. It takes 15 minutes to open or close. Each side of the multimedia cube suspended in its centre measures 65m².

🌭Many kiosks are located throughout the Arena, offering a wide variety of drinks, snacks and sweet or savoury items (burgers, pizzas, kebabs, etc). You can order "Friends" menus, with part of the proceeds going to the association.

💳Transactions at the Strawberry Arena are completely cashless.
