Key facts

Mineirão Stadium is the 5th largest stadium in Brazil. In June 2014, it became the first Brazilian stadium and the second in the world to obtain the highest category of environmental certification Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, awarded by the Green Building Council Institute.

It hosted matches during the 2019 Copa America.
