What you need to know about Brondby (Copenhagen):

Brondby is the great rival of FC Copenhagen. The match will be played at Brondby Stadion to the West of the city.

How to get to Copenhagen?

There are 3 main transport options from Strasbourg:

• By car you need to allow at least 12 hours of driving.
• By train it's possible to travel to Hamburg directly or with 1 change from Offenburg, Karlsruhe, Mannheim... in 6/7 hours (expect between €60 and €100). From Hamburg there are direct trains to Copenhagen in 4/5 hours (expect between €40 and €90 depending on advance or last-minute booking). • By plane there are direct flights:
  • From Basel: Monday morning and evening, Tuesday evening, Wednesday evening and Thursday afternoon for the outbound. Friday morning and evening, Saturday midday and Sunday evening for the return (with Easyjet). There's also an outbound flight Monday afternoon and a return flight Friday midday with Norwegian.
  • From Frankfurt: Outbound Tuesday afternoon/evening, Wednesday afternoon and Thursday afternoon. Return Friday, Saturday and Sunday midday/afternoon. Flights are operated by Scandinavian Airlines or Lufthansa (more expensive).
  • From Stuttgart: Outbound Monday evening, return Saturday morning with Scandinavian Airlines.

 

How to stay in Copenhagen on a budget?

Copenhagen is an expensive city, even more so at this time of year and because of the match.

Most accommodation offered in Copenhagen is generally dormitories and shared spaces.

Otherwise, for a private room, the budget quickly becomes very high (at least €200 per night), so it's better to book as early as possible. You can for example check all current availability on the reference Hotel.com website (affiliate link that supports us).

Our tip for cheaper accommodation: Copenhagen is close to Malmö and trains connect the two cities very regularly in 45 minutes, even at night (expect between €10 and €15 for a ticket to buy on the spot). It can therefore be very interesting to stay in Malmö in Sweden where prices are up to 2/3 cheaper.

 

Camping in Denmark?

What to see in Copenhagen?

Copenhagen is a beautiful tourist city, there's much to discover!

Here are some key places not to miss:

• Stroll along Nyhavn, this emblematic canal lined with colourful houses and old boats. A postcard-perfect setting that embodies the spirit of the city.
• The Tivoli Gardens, a historic amusement park located right in the centre, just opposite the station. The atmosphere varies throughout the seasons, and it will be open in late August during the match, a must-see visit! • The famous Little Mermaid, a modest but mythical statue that always attracts the curious.

• Explore the canals by boat, a lovely way to discover Copenhagen from a different angle.

How to get around Copenhagen? The Copenhagen Card to save money!

Copenhagen is a rather expensive destination, especially if you plan to enjoy its many attractions: Tivoli park, museums, boat tours, castles, etc. To optimise your budget, the Copenhagen Card is an excellent choice.

How to buy tickets for the Brondby - Strasbourg match?

Free ticket sales in Brondby neutral sections will open from Wednesday 20 August at 1pm (here on Brondby's online ticket office).

For RCSA supporters only Racing manages ticket sales for the away section directly to its supporters.
