For its 60th anniversary, Hansa Rostock will play a friendly match at Watford on 25 July 2026. For the occasion, more than 6,000 Hansa Rostock supporters have already purchased their tickets in the away section.

German supporters are known for their strong away-day culture. Hansa Rostock, a 3.Liga club (third division in Germany) has a very strong supporter community recognised across Germany for its passion and intensity – we saw this once again during our visit to the Mannheim vs Hansa Rostock match on 25 January.

A friendly match at Watford for Hansa Rostock's 60th anniversary.

To mark Hansa Rostock's 60th anniversary, the club organised a friendly match at Watford at the Vicarage Road, near London, on 25 July 2026. This is the first international match in many years for Hansa Rostock supporters, who haven't experienced the Bundesliga since 2008.

An extraordinary mobilisation of Hansa Rostock supporters.

This friendly match is a wonderful opportunity for Hansa Rostock supporters to travel and follow their club during the summer. Watford released 4,000 away tickets and they sold out very quickly.

Following this demand, a further 2,000 tickets were released and sold out within minutes. If more tickets were made available, many more supporters would still want to attend.

So there are currently 6,000 Hansa Rostock supporters travelling for this friendly match!
