The 2025 UEFA European Women's Football Championship is the 14th edition, a competition bringing together the best European national women's teams.

General Information

The Women's EURO 2025 will take place in Switzerland from 2 to 27 July 2025.

This is the 14th edition of the European Women's Football Championship.

The Swiss team will play the opening match at St Jakobs Park in Basel on 2 July 2025.

The final will be played at the same stadium on 27 July 2025.

The draw for the final tournament took place in Lausanne on 16 December 2024.

16 teams will compete across 8 venues.



Basic ground rules:


🎒 Bags larger than 1.5 m wide will not be permitted in the stadium.
🔋 You can bring a small power bank, no larger than your phone.
🪪 Make sure you have a valid form of ID with you; only the original will be accepted, not copies. You may need to present it at the ticket office if there are any issues with your match ticket.
🚭 All Women's EURO 2025 stadiums are non-smoking venues. Smoking and the use of e-cigarettes are prohibited.

Transport Information

🚘 For those arriving by car,

⚠️ To drive on Swiss motorways, you must have a motorway vignette. Plan ahead and check the dedicated websites before you depart.

You can buy the vignette at the border or at petrol stations.

💸 The vignette costs 40 CHF. It is valid from 1 December 2024 to 31 January 2026.

There is also a digital version available. The e-vignette is available on the OFDF website by following this link.


🚆 For Euro Women's 2025, public transport (train) should be prioritised over car travel. For your trip to Switzerland, we recommend travelling by train.

🎟️ To book your train tickets, you need to use the SBB (Schweizerische Bundesbahnen) company - CFF in French.

Tickets can be purchased online via the CFF app or at ticket machines in Swiss railway stations.

Tickets for other public transport, such as trams and buses, can also be purchased at stations, via the CFF app or at ticket machines at the respective stops.

🆓 All holders of a match ticket for the 2025 Women's EURO can use free of charge public transport in Switzerland.

👉 Your tickets are valid on match day for a return journey in 2nd class on public transport from any location in Switzerland to the match venue.

The offer is valid across the entire Swiss public transport network.

Simply present your match ticket if requested.


What are the conditions ?

✔️ Reserved for holders of tickets for the 2025 Women's EURO

✔️ Valid for a return journey from any location in Switzerland to the match venue (stadium) via the direct route

✔️ On all trains, trams, buses and boats on the Swiss public transport network

✔️ On your match day only (from 00:00 until the last scheduled stop reachable before 05:00 the next day)

✔️ In second class only

How to buy tickets for the 2025 Women's Euro?

🎟️ Tickets are on sale on 2 official websites:

New ticket sales will take place for each qualified team at each round. Each national federation will decide on purchase priorities. For France, members of supporter associations and the Supporters' Club will likely have purchase priority at each round.


🔃 Ticket holders can resell their tickets on the UEFA online ticketing platform. Tickets can therefore appear at any time on the UEFA ticketing platform.

👤 You must log in to the app using the same UEFA account that purchased the tickets.
Warning: One phone per account only. It is impossible to log in to the same account from multiple phones.
✅ The ticket QR code will only appear on match day (usually 3 hours before).
🛜 Bluetooth on your phone must be enabled to enter the stadium. You will then need to scan the QR code from the app.


Tips / tricks:

🔋 You must have battery on your phone as the ticket is only available on the app (no paper format, no screenshot ...).
🔌 Remember to bring power banks to ensure you don't run out of charge during your trip. Small power banks will be allowed in the stadium (no larger than a phone).
📶 Internet connection will not be required on site for tickets. You just need to have downloaded the tickets to your phone before the match.

💡 Our tip for cheaper accommodation!

With your match ticket you can easily get around using free public transport throughout the country on match day. Swiss cities are very close together, so you can easily search for a town near your destination that has late evening connections so you can return after the match.


Follow these 3 steps:

1) Open a map and search for towns close to your destination.

2) Visit the SBB website (Swiss railway company) to see if trains take you to this town at the right times after the match.

3) Book your hotel cheaper than in the match city!
