Diego Armando Maradona Stadium hosted the Rome Olympics in 1960, Mediterranean Games in 1963, European Football Championship 1968, European Football Championship 1980, and FIFA World Cup 1990.
Formerly known as "Stadio del Sole" (1959-1963) and "San Paolo Stadium" (1963-2020).
The stadium was renamed following Diego Armando Maradona's death in November 2020.
