Diego Armando Maradona Stadium hosted the Rome Olympics in 1960, Mediterranean Games in 1963, European Football Championship 1968, European Football Championship 1980, and FIFA World Cup 1990.

Formerly known as "Stadio del Sole" (1959-1963) and "San Paolo Stadium" (1963-2020).

The stadium was renamed following Diego Armando Maradona's death in November 2020.

The stadium is located away from Naples city centre.

The stadium is accessible by train or public transport. It can sometimes be difficult to find public transport after the match, so taxi is a good option (cash payment).

🚆 From "Naples Piazza Garibaldi" railway station, take trains towards "Napoli Campi Flegrei" station (5 minutes from the stadium).

Buses depend on traffic, which is very heavy especially on matchdays.
