Raymond-Kopa Stadium is located on the outskirts of Angers town centre. It is poorly accessible by car, with no car parks directly surrounding the stadium.

Raymond-Kopa Stadium was renovated in 2022. These works enabled the construction of the Saint-Léonard stand, named after the neighbourhood where it is located.

Its former names:

• Bessonneau Stadium (1912-1957) 
• Municipal Stadium (1957-1968) 
• Jean-Bouin Stadium (1968-2017)
• in 2018 the Stadium took the name of the 1958 Ballon d'Or winner, Raymond Kopa.
