Key facts
Stade Pierre de Coubertin is located in the Bocca district in Cannes.
Originally the stadium hosted athletics and rugby.
Rugby gave way to football in 1975.
It has been home to AS Cannes football since then, which previously played at Stade des Hespérides.
With the club's development, athletics left the stadium in 1986.
The East stand was named Tribune Jean Varraud in 2013 in tribute to the former club manager who passed away.
The North and South stands were demolished for compliance reasons.
