Key facts
Stade Venoix Claude Mercier hosted Stade Malherbe de Caen until the construction of Stade Michel d'Ornano in 1993. Today it is used by the reserve team and youth teams of the club (training centre). It no longer meets the standards to host top-level competitions.
It is a velodrome stadium (equipped with a running track).
It took this name in 2014 in honour of the club's emblematic captain in the 1950s.
