Key facts

Stade de l'Epopée was built following the exceptional run of CRUFC (Calais Racing Union Football Club) in the 2000 French Cup. The club reached the final which they disputed (and lost) against FC Nantes. CRUFC played in this new stadium until its disappearance in 2017.

Before its construction, for major matches, CRUFC had to relocate their games to Bollaert (Lens, 100km) or to Boulogne, a rival club.

Stade de l'Epopée currently hosts Racing Club de Calais.

Stade de l'Épopée has 600 parking spaces, including 60 for disabled visitors. A five to ten minute walk away, on Roger-Martin-du-Gard Street, the car parks at Piscine Icéo and Salle Calypso offer several hundred parking spaces.
