Red Bull Arena (Leipzig Stadium) hosted matches at Euro 2024.

🏟️ Rebuilt in 2004 on the site of the former Zentralstadion (the largest stadium in former East Germany) and renovated in 2015, the stadium hosted the 2006 World Cup. It features an ultra-modern roof to provide better acoustics for concerts.

How to get to Red Bull Arena by public transport?

Very many tram lines go directly to the stadium:

🚆 Tram lines 3 / 4 / 7 / 8 / 15 / 51 / 54 / 56

There are also lines 1, 14 and 19 that approach the stadium (without stopping directly in front).

- for lines 3, 7, 8 and 15 and get off at the "Sportforum" stop. Then approximately 400 metres on foot to the stadium.

- for line 19, Leipzig stop "Sportforum Ost"

⚠️ Make sure you check your stadium entrance, this has great importance for your tram stop and which line to take.

🚍 Bus station stop Sportforum Süd : lines N1, N2, N3, SEV7, SEV15 

🎟️ Bus transport tickets are valid for 4 hours before and after the match (MDV network).

📱 To find all routes, download the LeipzigMove app. This city app provides all real-time information for all the city's transport (public transport, regional trains, taxis, e-scooters and e-bikes...) : routes, bookings... However, you need to create an account with a German address.

Here are some landmarks to help you reach Red Bull Arena from Leipzig railway station :

🚲 A bike parking with 500 spaces is available. It opens 2 hours before the match and 90 minutes after.

✅ Red Bull Arena is very accessible on foot from the city centre or the railway station and it's a safe way to control your schedule.

⚠️ Make sure you check your stadium entrance, this will avoid you having to walk around the entire stadium to access it.

🚗 if you want to drive there :

City car parks are extremely limited. There is no car parking available in the immediate vicinity of the stadium.

🅿️+R : If you're driving, it's strongly recommended that you park at a park and ride and finish the journey by tram. Most park and rides have a direct tram to the stadium.

It is practical to use the P+R "Leipziger Messe", "Schönauer Ring", "Plovdiver Strasse", "Völkerschlachtdenkmal" and "Lausen" and to use the tram.

The Taxi drop-off point at the stadium is located at Stadionvorplatz.

How to travel to Leipzig?

✈️ by plane : 2 small airports are located near Leipzig :

Leipzig / Halle Airport : It is located to the North, allow 15 minutes to reach the city with the S5 or S5X lines.

Dresden Airport : It is located in Dresden, allow 2 hours travel with the S2 line to Dresden railway station then take a train (to be booked).

✈️ Another alternative is possible: land at Berlin Brandenburg airport.

There are direct flights to Paris, Strasbourg, Nantes, Bordeaux Mérignac, Toulouse, Marseille, Nice and Lyon in France.

To reach Leipzig you need to take a regional train to Berlin railway station and then a national ICE train to reach Leipzig railway station. Allow a little over 2 hours of travel.

🚆 Germany has an extremely comprehensive railway network.

🌙 Several trains (local, regional or national) run in the evening / at night.
